Is my business information kept separate?
Kontab uses authenticated access, business membership and role permissions to control access to records. Read our trust page for the controls and their limits.
Who owns my data?
Your business retains ownership of its data. Kontab processes it to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy and terms.
Can I download reports or leave the service?
Supported reports and records offer exports in the application. Download the records and attachments you need before closing your account, and ask us about any export you cannot find. Availability depends on the report, role and plan; we do not promise unrestricted access after closure.
What happens when my trial ends?
The Professional trial lasts 30 days, with up to 3 users, 2 GB storage and a sample AI allowance. Choose a paid plan or continue within Free Forever limits. Paid features and new attachment uploads require an eligible plan.
What are the Free Forever limits?
Free Forever includes one owner, one active business, one bank account, 10 new invoices and 10 bills or expenses per month. See pricing for the complete comparison.
Can my accountant work with me?
Eligible paid plans allow invited members with role-based access, within the subscription seat limit. Agree the appropriate role before inviting your accountant. Access follows the subscription and permissions of each business.
Does Kontab support my country?
Country and currency profiles cover eleven Caribbean locations. Tax settings need checking for your business. Payroll is currently offered for Saint Lucia on Professional; a country profile does not establish full local compliance.
Can I move existing records into Kontab?
Starter and master-data import paths differ from open-items and full historical migration. Growth and Professional, including an active eligible Professional trial, provide the advanced migration paths. Prepare and review your records before confirming a migration.
Will Kontab file my taxes or connect live to my bank?
Do not treat configured tax settings as tax advice or automatic filing. Banking supports statement CSV import and reconciliation on eligible plans; this is not an automatic live bank feed.
How do website contact messages work?
The form submits your enquiry through our email provider to hello@kontab.net. The on-page reference confirms submission, not inbox delivery. A separate receipt is best-effort and can fail without losing the accepted enquiry. Please omit passwords and sensitive financial records.
